The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Salary: £90-£110 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Kettering, supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs.
The school supports pupils who all have EHCPs, so this is a hands-on role requiring a high level of individualised support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting individuals with high-functioning autism, physical disabilities and/or complex learning needs.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs
Supporting pupils with communication, including PECS, Makaton and other communication strategies
Providing personal care and support with daily routines where required
Supporting with moving and handling, including the safe use of appropriate equipment
Helping pupils access learning, social activities and the wider school environment
Supporting pupils with their physical and emotional wellbeing
You may also be required to support pupils during swimming sessions
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong experience working with children or adults with autism and/or physical disabilities
Has experience supporting individuals with complex or high-level needs
Is confident with or willing to use Makaton, PECS or other communication methods
Has experience with personal care and moving & handling, or is willing to undertake relevant training
Is patient, compassionate and confident working in a hands-on SEN environment
Can build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining clear boundaries and expectationsPrevious experience in a specialist school, care setting, residential setting, therapy environment or similar would be highly beneficial.
