Internal Account Manager

£32,000 + Bonus Scheme
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Permanent office based

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Internal Account Manager to join a growing and highly successful business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong sales experience who enjoys building relationships, managing customer accounts, and proactively developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, maintaining regular contact to strengthen relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
Conduct proactive account management calls and quarterly account reviews.
Identify and re-engage dormant and down-trading accounts to recover lost business.
Monitor customer purchasing patterns and market trends to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Develop new business opportunities within existing industries and customer sectors.
Handle customer enquiries professionally from initial contact through to order completion.
Prepare quotations, manage pricing requests, and ensure timely follow-up to maximise conversion rates.
Oversee customer projects from enquiry through to completion, providing regular updates and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quotations, orders, and projects are processed efficiently.
Liaise with the Marketing team to develop customer-focused campaigns and promotional activities.
Coordinate marketing materials, product literature, brochures, email campaigns, and promotional content tailored to customer accounts.
Identify opportunities for targeted marketing initiatives based on customer feedback, buying trends, account activity, and new product launches.
Maintain accurate customer records and detailed account notes within the CRM system.
Resolve customer issues efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
Take a proactive approach to customer retention and continuous account growth.We're looking for someone who:

Has previous sales, account management, or business development experience.
Is confident and comfortable making outbound calls and building relationships over the phone.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Can manage multiple customer accounts and priorities effectively.
Is proactive, self-motivated, and target driven.
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
