The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager / Site Agent to join our team, delivering major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the North West greater Manchester region
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in highways, major earthworks, highway alterations, road construction, drainage, and general civil engineering.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the daily running of civil engineering projects.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate works to ensure projects are delivered to programme.
• Oversee highways, road construction, earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure works.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, local authorities, and the project management team.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and quality documentation.
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent within the civil engineering sector.
• Experience delivering highways, major earthworks, bypass schemes, road construction, and general civil engineering projects.
• SMSTS
• CSCS (Manager Card)
• First Aid at Work
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
• Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor.
• NRSWA Supervisor.
• NEC contract experience.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
