We need a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a primary-aged student with special educational needs (SEND). What You’ll Be Doing:
1-2-1 support for a primary-aged SEND student, assisting them in the classroom and throughout the school day.
Helping the student engage with their lessons and activities in a way that’s tailored to their individual needs.
Working closely with the teacher and other school staff to implement effective strategies and provide the best possible support.
Encouraging the student’s personal development, boosting their confidence, and promoting social and emotional growth.
Monitoring the student’s progress and adapting support to ensure they are always progressing and thriving.
What We’re Looking For:
A compassionate and patient individual with previous experience working with SEND students.
Strong communication skills to build a positive, trusting relationship with the student, teachers, and staff.
Someone who is proactive and adaptable, ready to support the student both academically and emotionally.
A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference every day.
Experience in a primary school setting is highly preferred.
Extra Skills That Would Set You Apart:
Experience supporting students with specific SEND needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities).
Any relevant SEND training, such as Makaton or PECS, would be a plus.
