The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We’re supporting a fast‑growing organisation in hiring a Head of UK Finance to work closely with R&D and Technology leaders. This role is strategic, highly collaborative, and ideal for someone who can partner confidently with technical teams, drive financial clarity, and support a rapidly scaling, innovation‑led environment.
The Head of UK Finance will:
Acting as a strategic finance adviser to R&D leadership, guiding forecasting, budgeting, and spend control.
Leading financial planning processes, including budgeting, long‑term modelling, and cash flow forecasting.
Supporting business cases and financial evaluations across research, engineering, and product development.
Driving continuous improvement in reporting, insights, and operational finance processes.
Overseeing headcount forecasting and workforce planning with HR.
Leading finance inputs into systems implementation (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and managing a Finance Analyst.
The Head of UK Finance will have:
A recognised finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong experience as a Finance Business Partner within engineering, tech, or R&D‑driven environments.
Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making.
Excellent analytical capability and communication skills.
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
A genuine interest in supporting innovation, technology, and fast‑growing teams.
