The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a major HS2 infrastructure project based in Birmingham.
This role is supporting the construction of a culvert beneath an existing carriageway and offers an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's most significant civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
* Managing all project documentation and maintaining accurate document control procedures.
* Ensuring drawings, specifications and technical documents are issued, received and stored correctly.
* Maintaining document registers and revision control.
* Liaising with engineers, site management, designers and the client.
* Supporting quality assurance and compliance processes.
* Ensuring documentation is distributed in line with project requirements and deadlines.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Document Controller within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
* Experience working on major projects such as highways, rail, utilities or heavy civils.
* Good knowledge of document management systems such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint or similar.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment.
This is an 8-month contract with an immediate start on 27th July, offering the opportunity to join a high-profile HS2 project in Birmingham.
