The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Search are actively recruiting a Planner for building construction contractor projects across the North East of England on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor.

What you'll be doing:
The successful Planner will be managing several build projects across the North East of England;
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or similar planning software) for multiple projects,
Work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and Commercial Teams to ensure programmes are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives.
Monitor progress, analyse variances, and provide accurate forecasting for key milestones and deliverables.
Produce and present progress reports, critical path analyses, and recovery plans to senior management and the client.
Contribute to pre-construction planning, tender programmes, and resource loading for future bids.
What you'll need to be successful:
Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
At least 5 years' experience on site before preconstruction career - highly desirable but not essential;
Previous civil engineering experience is highly desirable;
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
