Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in working with various materials, particularly stainless steel. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to fabricate and assemble components according to precise specifications.
Responsibilities
* Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding and assembly.
* Assemble components and structures as per engineering drawings and specifications.
* Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall productivity.
* Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and practices.
* Familiarity with sheet metal work is essential; experience in stick welding is advantageous.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Basic maths skills for effective measurement and calculation tasks related to fabrication.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
