We are supporting a respected healthcare provider in their search for a Medical Secretary to join their friendly team on a temporary basis for 4 to 6 weeks. You would provide direct administrative and secretarial support to doctors and healthcare clinicians by managing patient referrals, typing clinical notes, and handling confidential communications. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real difference to patient's experiences from day one.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Send patient referral forms to hospitals and specialists using the electronic referral system
Monitor outstanding hospital appointments and chase missing clinic letters
Type notes and support letters for patients within strict time limits
Enter and update patient details
Open, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing physical and digital mail
Monitor practice email inboxes and action clinical tasksKEY SKILLS:
Prior secretarial experience within the healthcare sector
Strong organisational skills
Confident and professional telephone manner
IT literate with knowledge of all MS Office packages
