Salary: £28,000- £34,000 per annum Dependent on experience
Bridgestone Group are excited to be supporting a well‑established Cardiff‑based specialist subcontractor in their search for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their QS career who wants hands‑on experience, rapid development and exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of construction projects.
Whether you’re just finishing university, recently qualified, or have some early experience under your belt, this role will give you the support, training and progression needed to build a strong commercial foundation.
You’ll work as part of a friendly, knowledgeable commercial team from day one, you’ll be involved in:
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities
- Supporting tender submissions and early client engagement
- Working closely with architects, designers, project managers and contractors
- Assisting with contracts, sub‑contractor orders and variations
- Monitoring and tracking project costs, budgets and cashflow
- Carrying out valuations, measurements and site visits
- Helping prepare final accounts and commercial reports
- Ensuring compliance with company processes and industry standards
This is a role where you’ll learn quickly, take responsibility early, and gain real‑world commercial experience across live projects.
This opportunity is perfect for you if you are:
- A recent graduate or early‑career Quantity Surveyor
- Holding a relevant qualification (Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or similar)
- Analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working with numbers
- Confident communicating with different teams and external partners
- Organised, proactive and eager to learn
