Our client Dorset Police are seeking a motivated HR Policies Assistant to join their dynamic Employee Relations Team within the HR Operations Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality support and guidance in employee relations.
Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, the HR Policies Assistant will:
Provide comprehensive advice, support, and guidance to line managers and supervisors on employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Deliver effective ER advice through a combination of telephone support, direct assistance, and written documentation.
Maintain an ER department project plan, identifying key milestones and reporting any deviations to the management team.
Produce timely and well-structured reports for various stakeholders, including the Joint Partnership Group.
Conduct project-related research and inquiries to support the Senior ER Officer in project delivery.
Liaise with internal departments to facilitate necessary changes in policies and procedures.
Assist in creating and updating ER procedures and maintain accurate ER documentation.
Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination and record management.Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in an HR environment, particularly in supporting managers with people management issues.
Strong communication skills, enabling the delivery of clear, customer-focused guidance.
The ability to work independently while effectively multitasking and supporting team members.
