We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a high-profile MOD programme delivering secure, mission-critical network capabilities. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring deep technical expertise across modern data centre and wide area networking technologies.
Working within a highly secure environment, you will be responsible for designing, assuring and evolving complex network architectures that support large-scale digital transformation and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop secure network architectures for enterprise and defence environments.
Produce high and low-level network designs, technical documentation and implementation plans.
Lead network architecture decisions across data centre, campus and WAN environments.
Provide technical assurance and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering, security and delivery teams to ensure successful deployment of network solutions.
Support troubleshooting and optimisation of complex network infrastructures.
Essential Skills & Experience
Active DV Clearance.
Proven experience operating as a Network Architect within complex enterprise or defence environments.
Strong expertise in:
BGP
EVPN-VXLAN
Software Defined Networking (SDN)
WAN Architecture and Design
Experience with modern data centre networking technologies and architectures.
Strong understanding of network security principles and secure-by-design approaches.
Ability to produce detailed technical designs and architecture documentation.
Experience working within large-scale transformation or infrastructure programmes.
