Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Bromley (3 days in office is essential)
Contract: 12 months with possible extension
Rate: Highly competitive
Status: Inside IR35
Working pattern: Full time

We're looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a global technology team delivering client-facing reporting solutions within a Futures & Options environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major platform migration while helping shape the future of a business-critical reporting application. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, mentor junior developers and contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality backend solutions.

The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in London, Bromley and at international locations in India, New York and Chicago.

The successful candidate will work as part of a wider development team spread between London, Bromley, New York, Texas and India. Current team members will provide support to enable you to familiarise yourself with the relevant functional aspects of the development role."

Requirement:

Java Developer with strong hands on expertise in building scalable Java applications, working in Agile teams.
Develop, enhance and support a range of critical applications built in Java, SpringBoot with Oracle DB.
Strong Java (Core Java & J2EE) development experience.
Multithreading.
SQL & PL/SQL.
Excellent communication skills.
Core Java, J2EE, Multithreading, Collections, OOP, Data Structures
Strong skills in Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate
Experience with Oracle Database.
Front-end experience with AngularJS / Angular
Working knowledge of Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Ansible
Experience building and consuming Web Services
Understanding of Java concurrency and design patterns
Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance enterprise Java applications.
Build scalable backend services using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
Work on a large-scale migration to new source systems.
Support client-facing reporting platforms.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers.
