The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Our client, a well established Marine Engineering company, is looking for Class 1 FCAW Welders to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long term refit project.
Suitable candidates must be NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship qualified and have a strong background in FCAW welding. Previous marine/ship repair experience would be ideal, but other heavy industries are also suitable.
Successful applicants will be required to spend a week in the test bay. Multiple FCAW tests must be passed in order to join the project. So long as you pass Day 1, your time in the test bay will be paid at the standard rate.
Security Clearance
Full SC Clearance is required. Once approved, you will be taken through the clearance process before being issued a start date. Due to the level of clearance and the specific contract, candidates must be British.
If you already hold full SC clearance, we will ask you to obtain confirmation from UKSV and a transfer will be arranged.
