Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer with SPEN authorisations looking for your next long-term contract?
Our client is looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of 32kV-132kV SPEN substation projects in the Netherley area of Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term programme of works on high-voltage infrastructure.
Job Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and energisation of 32kV-132kV substation plant and systems, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with SPEN procedures and project requirements.
You will undertake testing, support energisation activities, coordinate with site teams and stakeholders, complete commissioning documentation, assist with fault finding and ensure compliance with safety rules, permit systems and quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer within UK transmission and/or distribution environments
Experience commissioning 32kV-132kV substations
Current SPEN authorisations/certificates are essential
Strong understanding of HV systems, protection schemes and commissioning practices
Safety-first approach with excellent documentation and compliance standards
Ability to work independently and deliver under programme pressure
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) is desirable
