The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
ARCA is partnered with a rapidly scaling, high-tech business seeking to expand its electrical engineering team by hiring an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Build Engineer / Electrical Assembly Technician.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a highly productive assembly environment and proven expertise as an Electrical Technician.

The Role
As an Electrical Build Engineer, you will be responsible for the assembly, integration, and commissioning of advanced simulator systems and equipment. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure builds meet specifications, function efficiently, and are delivered to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and build complex motion systems to design documentation, on time and to spec.
* Install, integrate, and test motion generator systems.
* Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
* Build first-of-type chassis looms and assemblies for mock-ups and system integration.
* Maintain accurate records of build and test progress.
* Collaborate with design, installation, and QA teams to optimise performance.
* Log and escalate any blockers, issues, or non-conformances.
* Support field installations, modifications, and maintenance both in the UK and overseas.
* Maintain strong focus on health and safety, ensuring a high-quality workshop environment.

Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in manufacturing wiring looms, soldering, and crimping.
* Ideally familiarity with System 25, mil-spec connectors, Raychem boots.
* NVQ Level 3 (Aerospace/Motorsport) or equivalent relevant apprenticeship.
* Solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance standards.
* Ability to read electrical schematics and work from bills of materials.
* Proficient in using test equipment: multi-meters, insulation resistance testers, earth continuity testers, etc.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
Desirable
* IPC training (IPC620) certification.
* Aerospace background
