The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are a well-established manufacturer of specialist industrial equipment, seeking a proactive and detail-driven Laboratory Technician to join our quality team. This is a hands-on, fully on-site role within a busy lab environment, carrying out routine testing on production materials to ensure our products consistently meet the highest quality standards. Full training will be provided to ensure you're fully equipped to carry out all testing procedures to the required standard.
You'll play a key part in maintaining product reliability across a range of technical manufacturing applications, working methodically to support quality at every stage of production.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare test samples ahead of scheduled laboratory analysis
Conduct a variety of chemical, mechanical, and weight-based product tests
Log results accurately and compile clear testing reports
Keep the laboratory tidy, organised, and operating to required standards
Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines during testing activities
What We're Looking For
A relevant chemistry-based qualification (e.g. HNC, HND) or comparable hands-on experience
Some exposure to a laboratory setting, whether through study, work placement, or employment
A sharp eye for detail and confidence following documented processes step by step
Well organised, with a structured and consistent way of working
General understanding of safe working practices in a lab setting
Any previous background in testing, sample handling, or data logging is a bonus, though not required
