ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Greenwich seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from an immediate start. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support pupils within Key Stage 1, with a focus on maintaining positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
The school is known for its supportive leadership and clear behaviour systems, creating an environment where staff are well-supported in managing and improving pupil behaviour.
This Year 2 Teaching Assistant role in Greenwich would suit experienced TAs who are confident, proactive and engaging, with a strong background in managing challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities of Year 2 Teaching Assistant:
Support pupils within a Year 2 classroom.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
Manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour effectively.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.
Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have at least one year of experience working in a primary school setting (essential).
Have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (essential).
Be confident, proactive and engaging in their approach.
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
