The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role is suited to an ambitious professional looking to take on a key leadership position within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, supporting the development of junior staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns
Providing business advisory and strategic support to clients
Leading and mentoring junior and senior members of the team
Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
Supporting business development activities and identifying growth opportunities
Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations
Liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies where required
Managing workflow, deadlines, and team performance effectively
Assisting Partners with operational and strategic initiatives
Candidate Requirements
ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
Significant experience within accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
Proven experience managing client portfolios
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff
Desirable Experience
Business advisory exposure
Practice development or business development involvement
Experience working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks
