The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Construction Manager to join a Data Centre Project in London. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a high‑profile site, leading Mechanical delivery and helping drive project excellence from start to completion.

Responsibilities
In this full‑time, fixed‑term role, you'll work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and deliver mechanical works to the highest standards.
You'll help plan and sequence activities, support supervision of site teams, and ensure all works meet programme requirements, technical specifications, and Dornan's safety standards.
Your work will span planning, overseeing labour and materials, monitoring progress, maintaining quality and compliance, and ensuring safe, efficient site operations.
You'll be involved in everything from short‑term lookaheads and cost awareness to supporting commissioning, handover, and collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and client teams.
You will also play a key part in maintaining site discipline, supporting apprentices, ensuring equipment and materials are effectively managed, and escalating any issues that impact productivity or scope.
About You
Your Experience
You bring proven experience as an Mechanical Construction Manager on Healthcare projects.
You have strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services – including power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, and life safety systems – and the capability to manage subcontractors, workforce planning, and programme delivery in a fast-moving environment.
You take ownership, communicate clearly, lead effectively, and are committed to continuous professional development.
Your Qualifications
A relevant Mechanical trade background or a third‑level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
SMSTS or equivalent safety‑management certification
Appropriate and current health and safety training (e.g. Safe Pass / CSCS / equivalent)
