Candidates should have a strong civil engineering background and ideally have progressed through the ranks from Engineer to Sub Agent to Site Agent. Water industry experience is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Agent
Manage and deliver civil engineering work packages safely, on time, and within programme.
Lead site teams and subcontractors while promoting a positive site culture.
Support and report directly to the Project Manager.
Produce and maintain 4-week look-ahead programmes and contribute to P6 planning updates.
Ensure all HSEQ requirements are met across site operations.
Coordinate temporary works activities and undertake the role of Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) where required.
Raise RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs).
Review construction drawings, designs, specifications, and client requirements.
Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs, permits, CPPs, and management plans.
Identify delays, risks, and commercial impacts, including EWN requirements.
Maintain programme updates and progress reporting.
Site Agent Requirements
Proven experience working as a Site Agent on Tier 1 infrastructure projects.
Previous progression through Engineer, Sub Agent, and Site Agent roles (or equivalent).
Experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects with MECIA and Civils interfaces.
Water industry experience preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge of temporary works, excavations, live services, lifting operations, and environmental controls.
Commercial awareness and experience identifying project risks and delays.
IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office, Fieldview, and VFP.
CSCS Card relevant to role.
SMSTS.
First Aid.
TWC qualification and experience.
Full UK Driving Licence.
