About the Role:
As a SEND Tutor, you will work closely with teachers and students across various schools in Bury St Edmunds, providing support both academically and through sports-based activities. Your role will be to encourage student engagement, promote physical well-being, and help create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students with SEN to promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
Develop and deliver engaging activities that support students’ personal and educational growth.
Monitor and record students’ progress, behavior, and development, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
Foster positive relationships with students to build their self-esteem, resilience, and independence.
Support students in developing life skills, social skills, and emotional regulation techniques.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to learning.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
A passion for sports and physical education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to adapt to different school environments and age groups
Relevant sports coaching qualifications or experience are desirable

£90.00 - £105.00 per day
