We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established growing business in the Nottingham area who are looking for a laser programmer to join their team
The shifts for this role are 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday.
Your day to day will include:
•Producing laser cutting programs from customer drawings and CAD files.
•Generating production documents, this includes route cards and work instructions
•Creating nests to maximize the use of materials and reduce waste.
•Liasing with estimating and sales regarding manufacturing and material requirements.
•Reviewing customer drawings
•Maintaining accurate records and documentation
•Communicating with the shop floor to support with any programming queries
•Support with continuous improvement by reviewing programming methods
•Supervising day to day operations in the laser cutting area
We would like to hear from you if you have:
•Previous experience programming laser machinery
•The ability to interpret engineering drawings
•Experience using CAD / CAM software
•Computer literate
•Background within a manufacturing or engineering business
