About the Role
We are an established and successful holiday company based in Welwyn Garden City, and we are looking for a friendly, organised and detail-focused Operations Executive to join our welcoming team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent organisational skills and takes pride in making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
As an Operations Executive, you will provide important administrative and operational support across our Product, Commercial & Operations teams.
You will work closely with colleagues and our network of local suppliers, managing bookings, documentation and operational arrangements while responding quickly and efficiently to any changes or queries that arise.
Key Responsibilities
Managing, confirming and amending activity and attraction bookings.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date operational records and systems.
Liaising with local suppliers to confirm services and resolve any queries promptly.
Issuing excursion vouchers and uploading relevant documents to the database.
Supporting the smooth operational delivery of the service.
Updating systems and managing any changes.
Assisting with pricing, repricing, inventory reviews and other commercial activities when required.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business and sharing operational information and insights.
Helping identify and resolve operational issues proactively.
Becoming cross-trained across a variety of Product, Commercial and Operations activities.About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, adaptable and resourceful, with excellent attention to detail.
You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities, working to deadlines and responding positively when unexpected situations arise. You will also understand the importance of accuracy and appreciate the impact that operational decisions can have on both customer service and the commercial side of the business.
You will ideally have:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good time management and prioritisation skills.
The ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Good data and process management skills.
Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to work with information accurately and produce professional documentation.
A willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Previous experience within travel, tourism, administration or operations would be advantageous, although not essential.What We Offer
