About the Role:

A mainstream primary school in Barnet is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children aged three to five across Nursery and Early Years.

Working alongside two colleagues, you will help create an engaging classroom where children learn through play, develop confidence and build independence. Your knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage will guide activities that follow childrens interests and encourage communication.

This hands-on role includes preparing resources, supporting classroom routines and helping with snacks and personal care. It would suit a creative, dependable Early Years Teaching Assistant who takes initiative and enjoys contributing ideas.

Requirements:

· Experience supporting children aged three to five in a nursery or classroom

· Working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its areas of learning

· Confidence supporting a busy mainstream Early Years classroom

· Willingness to assist with personal care, including changing when required

· The right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo safeguarding checks

Key Responsibilities:

· Help children settle into daily routines

· Prepare engaging play-based activities and maintain accessible learning areas

· Support child-led learning, communication and independence

· Work closely with colleagues to encourage every childs participation

· Assist with snacks, meals and personal care sensitively

· Keep classroom resources organised and ready to use
