Caretaker

Location: Ipswich
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Full-Time | On-Site

Are you a hands-on, proactive individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a Caretaker to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same!

What You'll Be Doing:

As our on-site go-to person, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that keep the building safe, clean, and running efficiently. Your duties will include:

Managing internal and external post
Conducting contractor and visitor inductions
Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related queries
Performing regular site inspections and reporting issues
Delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors
Carrying out basic cleaning and topping up consumables
Handling minor repairs (fabric, electrical, plumbing)
Assisting with HVAC adjustments and fire alarm tests
Responding to ad-hoc requests from the client or FM provider

What We're Looking For:

A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
Good communication and customer service skills
Basic knowledge of building maintenance (training can be provided)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Comfortable using tools and performing minor repairs
