How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    M&E CAD Coordinator/Technician – Bury St Edmunds

    Client

    My Client are a leading well established M&E Contractor , the company has earned a solid reputation for delivering multi-unit residential projects across London and East Anglia. It also undertakes commercial developments and research facilities throughout the East of England, with annual turnover exceeding £25 million.

    M&E CAD Coordinator/Technician – Bury St Edmunds

    The Role

    * The prospective role would be for a full-time CAD (Computer Assisted Drawing) Trainee / Apprentice.

    * The role would be based at our head office in Bury St Edmonds.

    * Full employment details would be subject to negotiations with prospective candidates

    M&E CAD Coordinator/Technician – Bury St Edmunds

    Duties

    Scope of the role would include:

    * Production and modification of CAD / Revit models based on marked up drawings / provided information.

    * Suitable training will be provided in-house and time can be allocated for external courses, as applicable.

    * The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the CAD manager and Assistant CAD manager with the role also overseen by senior staff.

    * Day-to-day tasks would include the production of design and fabrication drawings for mechanical and electrical building services covering a wide range of applications and projects.

    * These will either be from marked-up drawings or the modification of existing drawings/ templates.

    * Previous experience in the M&E field would be an advantage but not essential.

    * There may be times when the candidate will be asked to assist other staff members with site visits to electronically scan buildings to assist in the construction of accurate electronic models of buildings and installations.

    * A good level of general computer knowledge would be required, and any previous experience of CAD drawing software packages would be beneficial.

    * The role will require good levels of accuracy and an ability to meet deadlines.

    Salary

    The salary on offer for this role is £30k - £35k+package, dependent upon previous experience.
