We’re hiring for a Supply Chain Manager to join a specialist engineering business based in Salford, Greater Manchester, supporting a growing operation that delivers bespoke technical solutions.
This is a key leadership role suited to someone who can manage a supply chain team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations. You’ll be focused on improving systems, strengthening team structure, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and building close working relationships across the business, particularly with Finance.

* £50,000 – £60,000 per annum

What will you be doing as a Supply Chain Manager?
* Managing and supporting the supply chain team and overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations
* Improving systems and increasing automation across the department
* Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support planning, reporting, and process improvements
* Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities
* Working closely with the Finance team to improve visibility, accuracy, and collaboration
* Maintaining operational effectiveness while driving continuous improvement
* Supporting purchasing, stock control, supplier management, and wider operational activity where required
What will you need?
* Previous experience managing a supply chain team
* Strong experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* A hands-on approach and willingness to support daily operational activities
* Experience working closely with Finance or commercial teams
* The ability to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* A proactive approach to systems, process improvement, and automation
