The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Quality Inspector - Part-time
25 hours per week or similar, with flexibility on the working days. Could develop into a full-time role if desired.
We are looking for a detail-focused Quality Inspector to join our client’s Quality Team. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, inspecting electrical sub-assemblies, PCBs, cables and finished products to ensure they meet the required drawings, specifications, workmanship standards and quality requirements.
The Quality Inspector will
* Inspect incoming, subcontracted and in-house manufactured components, sub-assemblies and finished products against drawings, parts lists and specifications.
* Carry out patrol inspections across assembly and test production areas, helping to maintain high standards of workmanship.
* Check that the correct paperwork and certification accompany materials and components being inspected.
* Record inspection results, maintaining accurate information in the system, and escalating quality concerns promptly.
* Support product sign-off for despatch, ensuring relevant teams understand key quality requirements and procedures.
About you
You will be organised, quality-focused and confident working with detailed information. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to understand and interpret technical drawings, parts lists and supporting documentation.
Experience of stock control or MRP systems would be ideal. Knowledge of PCB assemblies, surface mount and through-hole technology, process control techniques and ESD requirements would also be beneficial.
