About the role:
Are you passionate about Physical education with a track record of delivering high-quality PE lessons?
EdStaff are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Female PE to join a secondary school in the Wigan area from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator looking for a new opportunity or an ECT keen to begin their education career in a dedicated and innovative department.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the development of all pupils, whilst delivering all aspects of the national curriculum at KS3 and 4.
The right candidate should have high expectations of pupils and be committed to inspiring and motivating all learners within the subject. You should have a genuine passion for encouraging participation in sports and be able to build positive relationships with pupils and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver the national curriculum at both KS3 and 4
* Adapt teaching to support pupils with SEND
* Promote positive behaviour
* Assist with department sport events as required
* Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
* Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
