Location: Aldershot
Rate: £16 - £20 per hour PAYE DoE
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7am–4.30pm, Friday 7am–1pm
We are actively seeking a CNC Machinist to manufacture precision-engineered components for a well-established company based in Aldershot.
The position is within a subcontract precision engineering environment, producing a variety of components for customers across sectors including aerospace, motorsport, defence, medical and marine.
Responsibilities:
- Setting CNC lathes and milling machines for production runs.
- Operating machines and monitoring the machining process to maintain quality and productivity.
- Creating, modifying and proving CNC programmes where required.
- Working with Fanuc, Siemens and other comparable CNC control systems.
- Working to close engineering tolerances, typically in the region of ±0.1mm
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a CNC machining environment
- Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
