The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a precision engineering company and are looking to recruit a Trainee Sheet Metal Fabricator & Mechanical Fitter.
As Trainee Sheet Metal Fabricator & Mechanical Fitter you would develop competency in sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fitting techniques while supporting the manufacture and assembly of aerospace components to ensure the resulting product meets quality requirements within established production deadlines.
* Learn and perform sheet metal fabrication activities under supervision.
* Assist with forming, bending, drilling, trimming and finishing aerospace components.
* Learn to assemble and fit mechanical and sheet metal assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Deliver output targets in line with work-to-lists and training objectives.
* Interpret engineering planning documents, technical drawings and specification sheets, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where provided.
* Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
* Ensure equipment used is of sufficient quality to manufacture to customer specification, reporting any defects before use.
* Ensure job cards are signed and stamped for prior operations before commencing work.
* Accurately and consistently clock on and off all jobs.
* Clean and ensure parts are of an acceptable standard before submitting to the next production stage.
* Complete all aspects of related operational documentation accurately.
* Support continuous improvement activities within the department.
