(£38,670 per annum + £1,439 annual allowance)

We’re looking for a Class 1 Driver to join a friendly, busy transport team delivering bakery products to customer distribution centres.
It’s a straightforward driving role, but an important one. You’ll be making sure products get where they need to be safely and on time, while getting to know the customers you see along the way.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be working 5 shifts over 7 days, with start times between 02:00 and 07:00. Your routes and deliveries are planned for you, so you can get on with the job and concentrate on having a good, safe shift.
A typical day will involve:
* Delivering bakery products to customer distribution centres.
* Following planned routes and delivery times.
* Having a friendly, professional relationship with customers.
* Collecting equipment and bringing it back to the depot when needed.
* Completing your vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
* Making sure your load is safe and secure before setting off.
* Keeping on top of Drivers’ Hours, tachograph and Working Time rules.
* Looking after your vehicle and treating it as you would your own.
* Working safely and looking out for yourself and the people around you.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys driving and takes pride in doing a good job.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, dependable and takes pride in doing things properly. You’ll be comfortable dealing with customers, look after your vehicle and deliveries, and be someone the team can rely on.
You’ll be out on the road independently for much of your shift, but you’ll still be part of a team with people around you when you need them.
What do you need?
* Full UK Class C+E licence
* No more than 6 points
* Valid Driver CPC
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card
* A good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and regulations
* A sensible approach to Health & Safety
* Good communication skills
* Most importantly, a reliable and positive attitude
