The Company?
The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a growing surveying team delivering building surveying services to a diverse client base. The consultancy focuses on providing technical and professional support, maintaining client relationships, and developing surveying expertise across multiple property sectors.
The Role
As the Building Surveyor, you will manage and deliver professional surveying services while working closely with clients and internal teams. You will support business development, prepare technical documentation, and contribute to the smooth delivery of projects.
The role will include:
Managing project briefs and preparing specifications and tender documentation
Undertaking dilapidations, party wall advice, and landlord/tenant instructions
Conducting pre-acquisition surveys and technical due diligence
Preparing schedules of condition, defects analysis, and building pathology reports
Administering JCT building contracts and supporting project management
Building and maintaining client relationships and liaising with contractors and consultants
The Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated and client-focused Building Surveyor with experience in commercial or residential property projects. Applications from candidates without a construction or surveying background will not be considered.
The Building Surveyor must have:
Experience in building surveying, including technical inspections and contract administration
Understanding of JCT contracts and construction technology
Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness
