The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently working with a globally established engineering and construction specialist to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
Headquartered in Norfolk, UK, the business delivers complex, design-led projects across Europe, North America, and Asia. Known for their expertise in structural glazing and ETFE systems, they play a key role in bringing ambitious architectural concepts to life through engineering excellence and innovation.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on commercial role where you’ll take ownership of projects from award through to final account. You’ll work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring strong financial control, effective contract management, and proactive risk mitigation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects
* Overseeing client and subcontractor payments
* Handling change management, claims, and contract administration
* Producing CVRs, cost reports, and financial forecasts
* Procuring and managing subcontract packages
* Identifying and managing commercial risks
* Supporting contract negotiations and resolving issues
* Engaging with clients and visiting sites as required
What We’re Looking For
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
* Proven QS experience within construction
* Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and commercial reporting
* Experience managing projects through to final account
* Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
* Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
