Talentmark are recruiting for a Scientist to join a small biotechnology company that develop and supply PCR kits, to be based at their site in Harlow, Essex on a permanent basis.
This role would be suitable for someone who has 2 years experience in PCR and genotyping. The salary on offer is £35-40K.
The role:
- Provide technical support to customers via email and phone, and occasionally in person.
- Design, optimisation, and validation of PCR-based genotyping assays.
- DNA extraction, quantification, and quality assessment.
- Contribute to internal R&D and new product development projects.
- Perform QC testing of reagents, PCR master mixes, and instrumentation.
Your Background:
- A degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Plant Science, or a related biological discipline.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory.
- Experience with PCR and standard DNA handling techniques.
