The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their growing team based in Wallsend. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business delivering specialist solutions into large scale commercial projects.
Working within a large, well-equipped workshop environment, you will be part of a small and friendly team assembling pre-engineered systems using a variety of components. The work is hands on and practical, following drawings and technical instructions to complete builds to the required standard.
This role would suit someone with a good level of practical ability who enjoys working with their hands. You do not need to be a fully qualified engineer, more important is your attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
* Carry out mechanical assembly tasks using drawings and technical instructions.
* Assemble components, pipework and associated parts to required specifications.
* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ensure all work is completed to a good standard and in line with quality expectations.
* Work as part of a team to meet build targets and deadlines.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:
* Practical hands on skills and a willingness to learn.
* Ability to follow instructions and work from basic drawings.
* A positive attitude and good work ethic.
* Comfortable working as part of a team in a workshop environment.
* Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction or a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.
