When Jochem and Sjoerd both became dads for the first time in 2013, they realized that baby care products were full of harmful ingredients. Driven to make a change, Naïf was born.

Our mission is to change the world of personal care, and to protect and care for the environment that our children (and their children) will live in at all costs. So we choose to make personal care products that are mild for sensitive skin and less harmful for our planet. We were the first brand to introduce plastic‑free wet wipes in the Netherlands, and we actively campaign against the use of microplastics in personal care products.

We have everything you need for your baby, from diaper cream to plastic‑free wipes, shampoo and even sunscreen. The sensitive baby skin doesn’t need a lot if you ask us, and definitely no bad stuff. That’s why Naïf products are made with natural ingredients, and without mineral oils, microplastics or SLES.

You'll be stepping into a crucial role, covering a maternity leave and becoming the backbone of our financial operations. In this role you'll work closely with the CFO; the two of you run the finance department.

Your mission? To ensure every cent is accounted for, our books are spotless, and our team has the financial support they need. This isn't just about keeping the seat warm; it's about maintaining stability, providing key insights, and being the go‑to expert for the team and a key partner to our CFO.

• Own our daily finances, from managing B2B invoices and ensuring our bookkeeping is flawless to proactively chasing down overdue payments.
• Handle month‑end and year‑end closings, prep the balance sheet and income statements, and work with our external accountant on the annual audit.
• Help build the annual budgets and take full ownership of our spend‑control policy, tracking variances and staying on course.
• Manage all tax filings (VAT, ICP, OSS) and keep records audit‑ready.
• Monitor cash flow, ensuring we always have what we need for payroll and other critical expenses while spotting and analysing key trends.
• Improve finance workflows, document key procedures, implement smart controls, and act as gatekeeper of our price lists.
• Support the CFO by creating financial projections and forecasts when needed.
• Be the helpful face of finance for the team, answering questions and serving as main contact for our external accountants.

• A solid background as a Financial Controller or experienced Accountant, comfortable with the A‑Z of finance.
• Excellent attention to detail & integrity, spotting things everyone else misses and understanding the importance of discretion.
• Deep technical know‑how in month‑end closings, P&L/Balance Sheet prep, and tax filings (VAT, ICP, OSS).
• Insight to interpret numbers and understand their business impact.
• Focus on quality and proactive drive to improve efficiency, accuracy and streamlining.
• Excel whiz (extra points if you know XERO).
• Ready to join the team from March 1st 2026 for a temporary period until end of August 2026.
