Your role and responsibilitiesEmbedded within the eCommerce Ecosystem Agile Team, part of the Digital Commerce & Business Enablement Alliance, the eCommerce Marketplace & Platform Lead is responsible for the strategy, development, deployment and business performance of the ABB Brand Marketplace.
The ABB Brand Marketplace is currently operating across Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. The role combines eCommerce platform ownership, project delivery and commercial marketplace development, working closely with Local Sales Organizations (LSOs), sellers, Product Divisions, internal IS teams and external technology partners.
The role will drive the continuous development and expansion of the marketplace, translating business and country needs into priorities, platform capabilities and successful market deployments. It will also collaborate closely with the Product Owner and 3rd Party Marketplace Lead to ensure alignment across the broader eCommerce ecosystem.
This is a global role and the preferred location is Europe.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Define and drive the ABB Brand Marketplace strategy and roadmap, covering business growth, country expansion, platform evolution and customer experience.
Own the business performance and development of the Brand Marketplace, driving adoption, orders, revenues, portfolio growth and seller engagement.
Lead country deployments and localization, working with LSOs to assess opportunities, define requirements, prioritize market needs and coordinate successful launches.
Own and prioritize the eCommerce platform roadmap, backlog and budget, covering both Run and Development costs, while translating business needs into scalable capabilities and aligning investments with business priorities.
Drive platform delivery with external technology vendors, development and UX teams, internal IS, Security and IS Project Management, from requirements and backlog refinement through implementation and release.
Develop and manage the seller and partner ecosystem, including onboarding, assortment development and identification of new commercial opportunities.
Drive marketplace performance across key levers including assortment, pricing, content, customer experience, seller performance and marketing, prioritizing commercial and marketing investments based on business impact.
Define and monitor business and platform KPIs, leveraging analytics, customer and seller insights to drive data-informed decisions, prioritize investments and identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and 3rd Party Marketplace Lead to share capabilities, insights and best practices and ensure alignment across ABB’s marketplace and eCommerce activities.
Qualifications for the role
Minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce, marketplace, digital product/platform management or related roles, ideally in an international B2B or industrial environment.
Strong experience developing and scaling eCommerce or marketplace platforms, including roadmap management, backlog prioritization, requirements definition and feature delivery.
Proven experience managing technology vendors, development teams and enterprise IT stakeholders, ideally including IS, Security and system integrations.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating complex initiatives across countries, business teams and external partners.
Strong understanding of marketplace business models and commercial levers, including sellers, assortment, pricing, customer experience and marketplace performance.
Ability to combine technical/platform understanding with commercial and analytical thinking, using data to build business cases, prioritize investments and drive measurable business outcomes.
Good understanding of 3rd Party Marketplaces such as Amazon and their role within a broader eCommerce ecosystem. Hands-on operational experience is beneficial but not required.
Experience with Adobe Commerce/Magento or similar eCommerce platforms, industrial/B2B products, distribution or channel management is a plus.
