We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join the EVM team. This dual role combines technical safety expertise with hands‑on construction supervision. You will act as a subject matter expert in safety systems while ensuring successful execution of engineering projects in the field.

• Oversee, control, and improve safety systems, processes, and practices.
• Lead and support implementation of safety standards and systems.
• Coach and develop colleagues to strengthen safety culture.
• Conduct safety‑related risk assessments and support project safety evaluations.
• Participate in audits and inspections (ISO 14001:2015, EH&S Audits, regulatory agencies).
• Lead or participate in incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety trainings.
• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedule and plans.
• Lead and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure safety compliance through permits, inspections, and regular safety meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Experience with international management system standards (ISO 14001).
• Proven ability to work in complex organizations during times of change.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and adaptability skills.
• Dedicated to sustainable EH&S improvements with a proactive “can-do” mentality.
• Secondary safety expert certification (“MVK”) or comparable qualification preferred.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
