The team currently has ten lawyers at Action’s international headquarters. Each lawyer with its own focus area, and together, they support all parts of the Action group. Legal linchpin in Action's technology projects The positionAs a key player in supporting a wide range of technology projects and contracts, you will work closely with the Procurement and Technology departments. You will be the legal expert guiding them strategically in contracting various technology-related services. Together, you ensure the business has the necessary systems and technology for growth and efficient operations.

As Legal Counsel IT & Contracts, you will primarily focus on legal support for the Technology domain, advising on various technology-related contracts and projects. Additionally, you may support Procurement on projects outside the Technology domain. While you mainly work with Dutch law, almost all agreements and projects have an international dimension due to Action’s geography of operations.
From critical SaaS solutions to complex technology infrastructure agreements, you are the legal linchpin in Action’s technology projects. Depending on the project you will be closely involved or advise more from a distance.
You proactively seek ways to improve the legal quality and efficiency of procurement processes and technology agreements (including championing the use of legal AI systems), provide legal training to Procurement and develop contract models to enhance legal scalability. You ensure new laws and regulations are correctly implemented and occasionally handle disputes and termination issues.
Expert in contracting, tech-related/IT contracts, with a pragmatic and hands‑on personality The profileFor this role we are seeking a dynamic, pragmatic and decisive lawyer with a strong personality and a sharp business acumen. A hands‑on and communicative lawyer, able to excel at building relationships quickly. The variety and unpredictability of diverse challenges energize you.
What you bring to the table:
- A Master’s degree in Dutch law or international equivalent LLB, LLM or JD
- At least 8 years of both private practice and in‑house/secondment experience with a wide range of technology‑related agreements and projects, and ideally, other commercial agreements
- Experience in a fast‑paced commercial environment is a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English
