For the expansion of our service team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Service Engineer with a passion for technology, automation, and solving complex challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and improving automated packaging machines, robot systems, handling solutions, end-of-line automation, and custom-built machinery at customer locations throughout the Netherlands and the Benelux.
You will work on new installations as well as maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance improvements on existing automation and robotic systems. You will be part of the service team and work closely with technical support and the service coordinator. You operate independently from home and travel to customers across the Benelux region.
What you will do
• Install and commission automated packaging machinery
• Install and commission robotic systems, including pick-and-place, palletising, handling robots, and collaborative robot applications
• Work on custom-built automation solutions, including transport systems, conveyor technology, and machine modules
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to avoid downtime
• Analyse and resolve mechanical, electrical, and robotic malfunctions
• Update, adjust, or optimise software-driven components in cooperation with engineering
• Implement improvements and upgrades to enhance machine and robot performance
• Support customers in optimising production processes and uptime
• Train and advise customers on machine and robot operation and maintenance
• Document service activities and provide technical feedback to internal engineering and R&D teams
What you bring
• MBO-level diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or comparable
• Affinity with automation, robotics, servo systems, and industrial controls
• Ability to work independently with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
• Willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication abilities and a customer-oriented attitude
