We have a requirement for a Constrution Quality Engineer - Supervisor for a large scale Pharmaceutical Construction Project in Geel Belgium.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards to verify compliance throughout construction activities.
- Conduct routine quality inspections of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works in line with project requirements.
- Monitor contractor work practices and identify non-conformances, deviations, and quality risks.
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Plans and Quality Control Procedures.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved documentation, client requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Perform daily site surveillance and manage inspection hold points and witness points.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate quality records including inspection reports, test certificates, NCRs, punch lists and quality registers.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project quality documentation, turnover packages and handover dossiers.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely close-out of quality issues.
- Prepare quality status reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
Testing & Verification
- Verify that materials, equipment and installations comply with design specifications and approved submittals.
- Witness FAT, SAT, commissioning and onsite testing activities as required.
- Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories, consultants and certification bodies.
- Confirm that all quality documentation and certifications are available before work acceptance.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with project management, construction teams, contractors and design consultants to resolve quality concerns.
- Support Quality Managers during audits, client meetings and quality reviews.
- Ensure subcontractor quality plans and procedures align with project and client requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to site teams in promoting quality best practice.
Auditing, Compliance & Handover
- Participate in internal, external and client quality audits.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and project-specific quality requirements.
- Review as-built records, commissioning documentation and handover packages prior to project closeout.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve quality performance, systems and processes.
- Contribute to lessons learned initiatives and standardisation of best practices.
- Promote a Right First Time culture across all project activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Relevant postgraduate or professional certification advantageous (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQE, ICQI).
- 3–7 years experience in construction quality or site engineering within large projects.
- Experience with large‑scale infrastructure, data centres, pharmaceutical, commercial, or industrial builds is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and quality management systems.
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with site teams, contractors, and clients.
- Familiarity with quality management tools and software (e.g., BIM 360, Procore, SharePoint, QMS platforms).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections and priorities.
