The Solutions Architect (SA) at Workiva works directly with customers and partners to design and deliver solutions that achieve impactful business outcomes. This role is a consultative platform expert who leads the delivery of contracted services and performs detailed discovery sessions to create robust sustainability reporting solution designs tailored to financial, risk, or operational reporting needs.
Responsibilities- Own the delivery of contracted services to customers and partners, ensuring projects move efficiently from concept to high‑impact reality.
- Perform deep discovery sessions to understand business requirements and create solution designs that achieve clear outcomes within the platform.
- Directly interface with delivery partners, guiding them through complex architectural choices to protect solution quality and ecosystem readiness without taking over core partner ownership.
- Participate in leading and mentoring peers as well as associates, assisting with onboarding and driving ongoing internal training efforts.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to validate scoping, challenge poor design choices from partners or customers, and protect downstream stability.
- Maintain and enhance advanced knowledge of financial, risk, or operational reporting using the platform through a strong commitment to ongoing training.
- Integrate intelligent tools and AI‑assisted workflows into daily routine to minimise repetitive admin tasks and focus on high‑value advisory.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in a service delivery role, finance, audit, risk, sustainability, or a related platform delivery field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, cloud technologies, or data architectures, with familiarity across ERP, GRC, or Sustainability technology platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, JSON, REST, or Python.
- Self‑motivated with a strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement, alongside the ability to influence and drive change in business processes.
- Experience working at a consultant level within a professional services company or public accounting firm.
- Demonstrated ability to curate and maintain customer‑first relationships with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely outside of a Workiva office. Up to 20% travel for customer meetings and company events.
