We are currently offering two internship positions within our production environment. Both combine hands-on shopfloor activities with an individual improvement project, but each has its own focus area:
- Position 1 - Industrialization Project
- Position 2 - Ramp-Up Project
Position 1 - Industrialization Project
In this role you will support the industrialization of a new product/process: helping to bring it from engineering into stable, repeatable serial production. You will analyze how the process should be set up, contribute to defining the right way of working, and help make the production process robust and ready for volume.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations within the production environment.
- Observe and analyze the new production process during industrialization.
- Help define and document process steps, work instructions, and standards.
- Map Value Added (VA) and Non-Value Added (NVA) activities in the new process.
- Investigate material flow, workplace layout, and tooling/fixtures for the new product.
- Identify improvement opportunities related to process stability, quality, and standardization.
- Support the implementation and validation of the production setup.
In this role you will support the ramp-up of an existing product toward higher production volumes. You will analyze the current process, identify bottlenecks that limit throughput, and help implement practical solutions that allow output to scale while keeping quality and flow under control.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations within the production environment.
- Observe and analyze the current production process during ramp-up.
- Map Value Added (VA) and Non-Value Added (NVA) activities.
- Investigate material flow, workplace layout, and line balancing.
- Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities related to throughput, efficiency, and flow.
- Support the implementation of process improvements that enable higher volumes.
- MBO Level 4, Associate Degree, or Bachelor student in a technical field.
- Interest in manufacturing, engineering, and continuous improvement.
- Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A combination of operational experience and an individual improvement project.
- Guidance from experienced Production and Manufacturing Engineering professionals.
- Opportunities to take ownership and make a visible impact.
- A dynamic high-tech manufacturing environment where your improvements can be directly implemented.
