Computer Science | Software Engineering internship: dashboard automation software

Introduction

You will join the System Industrialization and Metrology Integration team in Veldhoven. This team connects data, system performance, and product quality across multiple development groups. The internship focuses on improving how machine data is collected, structured, and visualized for decision-making. By automating software for system dashboards, you help teams gain reliable insights faster. This Computer Science | Software Engineering internship: dashboard automation software offers a hands-on opportunity to turn concepts into working solutions.

Your assignment

In this internship, you will transform an existing concept into an automated and scalable software solution for system dashboards. You will work closely with a team lead and software architect to implement and validate features that improve how machine data is presented. The goal is to create clear, reliable dashboards that support data-driven decisions within the organization. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with a software architect to implement requested features
• Develop structured, efficient, and well-documented source code
• Translate concepts into working software solutions for dashboards
• Improve and refine existing features for performance and usability
• Support validation and verification of the implemented design
• Document functionality and ensure maintainability of the solution

This is a bachelor or master internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026 and is flexible.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or systems engineering
• Have experience with Python and MATLAB
• Have familiarity with software development practices and data management concepts
• Are analytical and able to structure complex information clearly
• Are proactive, collaborative, and focused on quality in your work

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
