Our client is a global leader in recycling services for electrical products. They are part of a multinational in sustainable development, who operates in 20 countries with over 40 facilities. For their new facility in Rotterdam Europoort we are searching for a QHSE Specialist.
As QHSE Specialist, your primary mission is to ensure a compliant, safe and secure environment for the teams and visitors. You will oversee site EHSS compliance, Quality Management systems, EHSS risk management, incident reporting and investigation and EHSS & Sustainability performance. You work closely with the sr. Process Engineer and the Regional QESH manager and report to the General Manager.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Ensure alignment with Global/Group EHS standards and policies.
- Coordinate site Certifications ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and Seveso regulations.
- Foster environmental, health, and safety awareness.
- Develop EHS operating procedures.
- Manage environmental permits and impact assessments, liaising with governmental authorities regarding environmental permits (DCMR, IL&T).
- Conduct EHS hazard and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, including EHS inductions for new hires.
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and monitor corrective actions.
- Conduct or ensure regular internal EHS audits and inspections.
- MBO+ or HBO level in Quality, Health and Safety, like IVK, MVK, HVK or Nebosh.
- Several years HSEQ experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, environmental permits and ARIE / Seveso.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Able to make decisions and work independently with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
