We are looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to continue our growth journey as Europe’s leading bike membership. Swapfiets is active in 8 European markets and provides awesome service daily to 0.3 million active members. This role is for an individual experienced with managing teams involved in marketing and creative operations, in international fast‑paced environments. This opportunity is open for 40 hours a week with at least 3 days a week at our HQ in Amsterdam (other days are flexible).
Do you recognize yourself in this?Our Brand Marketing Manager is an essential part of the ‘Consumer Direct’ team and reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. You will play a key role in refining our Brand positioning and creative assets across all markets and channels. You will manage and coach a team of 9 marketeers and creatives in their day‑to‑day marketing operations. Your contribution will be crucial to bring Swapfiets to the next level of scalable growth.
How you pedal us forward- Brand positioning: Make sure the Swapfiets brand resonates with prospects and members in all 8 markets, with various cycling behaviors and preferences.
- Campaigns & activations: Develop ATL brand campaigns, PR/local activations and brand partnerships to foster brand awareness and brand love.
- Media ROI: Refine our media buying and targeting strategies in collaboration with our Growth Marketing team. Run our owned social channels from A to Z.
- Creative excellence: Lead the creative in‑house studio, producing the best assets for our owned and paid channels and 45 retail locations.
- Communication Leadership: Support all markets and departments (retail teams, HR, customer service, growth marketing) with the right advice and guidance to provide 360 consistent and enticing messaging.
- Team Coaching: Manage and mentor a team of 9 marketeers and creatives, plus agency and freelance collaborations.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison with country managers, Tech teams and external stakeholders to maximize your team impact.
- 7‑10 years of relevant experience in B2C brand marketing.
- Hands‑on experience with brand campaigns and digital marketing (agency or corporate environment).
- Affinity with measuring brand marketing success and optimizing marketing ROI.
- Experience managing mid size teams and a proven track record of coaching teams through organizational/ strategic change.
- Excellent communication skills in English (other languages like Dutch, French, German or Danish are a big plus).
- Local network (agencies/ freelancers/ partnerships) in the Netherlands is required.
- Proven ability in cross‑team stakeholder management.
- A proactive mindset with a drive for growth.
- Salary of up to €6.939,- gross per month, depending on your experience.
- Your own Swapfiets (lend‑lease).
