The Sales Developer is responsible for executing the commercial strategy within the assigned territory/area and across the designated sales channels. Reporting to the Senior Sales manager Artisans, the role contributes to achieving commercial targets in terms of sales volumes and gross margin. The Sales Developer will oversee customer relationships, coordinate the sales network, and continuously monitor the assigned area to ensure strong market presence, customer proximity, and effective market intelligence.
What will you do:- Implement the commercial strategy within the assigned area and channels.
- Working closely with the team artisans to assure a right “push & pop” approach.
- Manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Create and execute customer and area development plans, identifying growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the distributor team to ensure balance and consistency across territories.
- Drive turnover growth by optimizing product distribution, sales volumes and product mix.
- Support new business development and monitor competitive activities, sharing insights with the team.
- Education: Preferable degree and background in economics or equivalent experience. Appreciated a technical training in the food sector.
- Professional Skills: Customer’s relation & negotiation; Capability to score new business; Ability to analyze numbers; Forecasting techniques; Project Management; Products: general knowledge about food ingredients.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in the specific role, in B2B companies within the food sector.
- Language Skills: Proficient in Dutch; English language is considered a plus.
- Computer Skills: MS office (Excel) mandatory, CRM/salesforce.
- Behavioural Requirements: Focused on results; Problem solving; Communication & Negotiation; High energy and positive attitude; Proactive; Time management.
- Others: Availability to travel for more than 75% of the time.
