The main markets in scope are European based, but this role also looks after the expansion to new territories such as North America. The Global Online Marketplace Manager leads a team of 7 FTE, of which 3 direct reports. You know how to coach, develop, and empower a team of young professionals to maximize results. As a senior leader, you understand how to influence cross-functional stakeholders (up to C-suite) and ensure alignment between the internal divisions (hybrid wholesale accounts).
The job responsibilities of the Global Online Marketplace Manager fall into three categories: Commercial, Strategic, and Team Development.
Commercial- Optimize sales results for active channels, day-to-day tracking and actioning with team.
- Spotting trade opportunities in channels which drive impact.
- Ensuring the Hunkemöller brand is represented to brand standard on all channels.
- Ensures correct assortment is planned for the (concession) channels in collaboration with the Merchandise department.
- Responsible for P&L, driving sales results that translate into a stronger bottom line.
- Responsible for commercial calendar and alignment of promotional and marketing activations.
- Define strategic direction for active channels, in collaboration with Wholesale for hybrid accounts.
- Identify new marketplace business opportunities globally, but with a focus on Europe.
- Plan strategic roadmap in alignment with Marketplace Project Manager and cross-functional stakeholders such as IT and Finance.
- Responsible for business case calculations and contract negotiations with prospects.
- Responsible for financial plan and 3-year growth trajectory for all Marketplace and Concession channels.
- Empower and coach a team of 3 direct reports and 4 indirect.
- Marketplace Team Lead: responsible for trade performance and activities, leading account coordinators who look after the day-to-day operation and activities.
- E-Merchandiser: expert in masterdata flows and integrators (Tradebyte, Channel Engine), ensures proper assortment presentation in main channels.
- Project Manager: leading new business roadmap and onboards new channels.
- Leading young professionals in the start of their career.
- Ability to develop talent in an effective and empowering manner.
- Wholesale / E-Commerce for internal alignment regarding hybrid accounts (such as Zalando) and wider promotional activities.
- Buying & Merchandise for assortment opportunities and plan inventory effectively.
- IT to develop and test new marketplace initiatives.
- Finance for monthly account reconciliation, invoice queries, and new business support.
- Marketing to ensure alignment in company’s broader campaign calendar on Marketplace channels.
- Legal aligning new contracts to Hunkemoller standards.
- 3PL / Transport for all matters logistics and order fulfilment.
- Customer Service to ensure a smooth experience for B2C Marketplace orders.
- 6+ years of experience in a DTC or wholesale department.
- Experience with Zalando Partner Program and/or Amazon Seller Central are a plus.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset to push commercial goals forward.
- Understanding of P&L drivers in a marketplace environment.
- Strong commercial acumen to drive results (day-to-day as well as long-term vision).
- Experience managing a young team and indirect reports.
- Strong communication skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders efficiently.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
